Rosemary

I met Rosemary a few years ago, as she lives around the corner in Crouch End, and was showing her work in the open studio weekend. I love the honesty of her work and the conversations we have about the process and how it all feels. She inspired me during lockdown, as I was frustrated at not being able to see the people I wanted to paint. She suggested I ask for a short video where they talk about themselves, so I asked her to do that for me - and this is the result. In many ways the portrait reflects the last year.
