Julia

Julia was my first oil painting and I enjoyed the question marks the painting raised. What is she thinking, is it a painting or mirror behind her?! She wrote this: 'I was very unsure and a little nervous about having my portrait painted. I need not have worried as Andy’s friendly, fun and gentle manner made it much easier than I was anticipating. He had ideas about setting, clothing etc, but was very happy to talk these through and change as we discussed the portrait. Little change was needed, however, as he had obviously thought the process through comprehensively in advance. I am very happy with the end result-it was one of his earlier works and from what I have seen recently, he continues to go from strength to strength.'
